Hawke's Bay field trip photo

This field trip examines a range of Pliocene-Pleistocene marginal marine to shallow-marine rocks cropping out in Hawke’s Bay, East Coast region. These rocks provide useful analogues for the depositional systems that produced the main reservoir formations in other basins, such as the Kapuni Group in Taranaki Basin. This three day field trip places an emphasis in the role that eustatic sea-level changes have had on sequence and systems tract development.
