Remote Infrastructure Technician

In this role, you will provide technical expertise and support for GNS Science’s geohazards monitoring systems by carrying out station installations and upgrades, network repairs and maintenance, and contributing to data communications solutions as well as contributing to the design, installation, and maintenance of scientific field equipment.

We are seeking a person with a technical background to be part of our team, enhancing national geological hazard monitoring networks and associated research programmes.

The position offers an attractive mix of field and office-based work and would suit someone who enjoys travelling and interacting with a range of people.  Candidates will show flexibility, innovation, and a commitment to quality. People skills, teamwork, and the ability to approach and interact with a range of people are also a must.
