Yaseen MahmoodRisk Engineer

Biography
Yaseen is a Risk Engineer with expertise in natural hazard risk and loss modelling. He collaborates with senior scientists on research projects aimed at enhancing methodologies for assessing damage, recovery, and risk associated with cascading natural hazards and climate change events. Yaseen works closely with hazard and climate experts to define hazard intensity parameters and develop vulnerability profiles for buildings and utility infrastructure. His role also includes the development and maintenance of inventory databases of buildings, infrastructure, and population. Leveraging a strong engineering background, he contributes to the development of tools used for loss and disruption modelling, supporting more effective risk assessment and disaster resilience planning.
