Thijs van SoestIsotope Hydrogeologist
Biography
Thijs is an isotope geochemist specialised in the application of noble gas (isotope) geochemistry in earth and planetary sciences. He has many years of experience in noble gas analytical system design, analytical method development, and noble gas analysis for a broad range of research projects. Despite a strong focus on noble gas analysis, Thijs strongly believes in a multi-faceted approach to addressing research questions and consequently has gained broad knowledge in (isotope) geochemistry and geochronology. As the lead scientist for the NGTL, he is always looking for new research opportunities to apply and/or expand the existing laboratory capabilities. Feel free to contact him with any ideas and/or questions, he would be happy to discuss them with you.
