Bob BrathwaiteEmeritus Scientist

Biography
Bob Brathwaite has BSc and MSc degrees from Victoria University of Wellington, and a PhD from the University of Tasmania. He spent 15 years in mine and exploration geology in various parts of Australia with several major mining companies. In 1979 he joined the New Zealand Geological Survey (now GNS Science), where he was a Senior Minerals Geologist and now continues as an emeritus scientist. Bob has worked on epithermal and orogenic Au, VMS Zn-Pb-Cu, porphyry Cu-Mo, Zn-Pb skarns, ironsands, zeolite and clay deposits, in addition to producing maps and reports on mineral deposits in New Zealand.
