Biography

Earthquake Engineer with in-depth research and consultancy experience in seismic performance assessment of buildings and functional services; - Direct field experience in earthquake damage survey of buildings, services, components - Good experience in analytical modeling. - International reasearch collaboration in earthquake engineering; - Involvement in the development of relevant design standards of New Zealand; - Handling in-house client jobs on site-specific earthquake hazard study based on probabilistic seismic hazard analysis; - Direct experience in interacting with industries and clients and to obtain research grants for end-user driven projects; - Expertise in earthquake risk assessment and loss estimation of regional portfolios; - Leadership skills - Project management skills - Networking and communication skills - Seismic instrumentation of buildings and bridges (leading the project) - Academic with excellent teaching experience at bachelor and master level programmes, curriculum development, laboratory establishment, testing and consultancy experience.
