Abstract submission

The call for abstracts is now closed.

We invited abstracts for oral and poster presentations related to the Scientific programme.  Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words with titles up to 50 words. They will be made available online as part of the conference programme and in a programme booklet.

The abstract submission is done through Oxford Abstracts. You will need to register with Oxford Abstracts using your email address to use the system. To submit your abstract please click here.

The conference will feature two main presentation forms, talks and posters. We have a fabulous venue for the posters on the mezzanine floor of the Rutherford House building in central Wellington. The posters will be displayed for the whole duration of the conference. They are in the same area where food and beverages will be served during breaks to allow for lively interactions throughout the meeting. We also plan for an extended poster session on Wednesday with a cocktail reception.

Posters are a great way to present work in progress and get feedback on ideas. We particularly encourage students and anyone starting out on a new topic or technique within the topic sessions to summarise their ideas in a poster so that they can discuss with the experts and the field.  We are also encouraging our longer-standing attendees and model practitioners to offer help as mentors.  So consider this a wonderful opportunity to engage with each other.

Depending on submissions and available experts, we are likely to include one or two panel discussions in the programme. At the last conference, ABNMS had two very lively panel discussions on Bayesian networks and expert elicitation. If you have ideas for a good panel discussion topic, please contact us at risk-conf-2019 at gns.cri.nz.
