Professional Learning and Development Webinar

In June 2018, GNS collaborated with the Science Learning Hub to showcase the geological natural hazards in New Zealand for teachers. The webinar covered NZ’s tectonic setting, including the Hikurangi Subduction Zone, as well as natural hazards and recent scientific research on board the drilling vessel JOIDES Resolution.

The webinar covers where to find learning resources on natural geological hazards, and what free resources are available to deliver authentic, relevant Nature of Science learning experiences. Watch the PLD here: https://www.sciencelearn.org.nz/resources/2624-exploring-natural-hazards
