GNS Science is committed to putting the safety of our staff, communities and stakeholders first - 14/08/2020

We wanted to update you on our operations in light of the recent Covid-19 announcements. Updated 14/08/20

Covid-19

14/08/20

Tēnā koe
Following the Government’s decision to remain at pandemic alert level 3 in Auckland, and level 2 in the rest of New Zealand, GNS Science is committed to the safety of its staff, communities and stakeholders.

  • Our Auckland office remains closed until further notice
  • Following discussions with the building owner, our Dunedin office is also closed
  • All other GNS Science worksites (Avalon, Gracefield, Wairakei) remain closed to visitors. Our reception areas will be open for deliveries only
  • Some GNS activities – like the National Geohazards Monitoring Centre – are essential to New Zealand’s safety, and these remain operational. Staff are observing strict hygiene, contact tracing and physical distancing protocols
  • All Auckland and Dunedin staff and all non-essential staff at other worksites are working from home
  • If you need to contact GNS Staff, please do so using remote means – for example, via conferencing software or telephone call

We will continue to support our partners, stakeholders, clients and research collaborators through this time, and will let you know if anything changes. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
He waka eke noa – we’re all in this together.

Nākū noa, nā
Ian Simpson
CEO, GNS Science
