Hutt City Council - Planning for our Future: The Science We Need to Know

GNS Science presents a series of science seminars to inform, educate and raise awareness of key environmental and geological issues facing the Hutt Valley (and beyond) in the next 100 years.  Come along and ask questions to initiate an informed dialogue on the issues that will affect our region by 2100.

All seminars are from 12-1pm at the Hutt City Council Chambers, 30 Laings Rd, Lower Hutt.

  • Friday 4 November - Going up or going down? The Hutt Valley in a big earthquake. Speaker: Mr Russ Van Dissen, GNS Science
  • Friday 18 November - Tsunami risks - what's the rush? Speaker: Dr William Power, GNS Science
  • Friday 2 December - Particulates and polluters - air quality issues in the Hutt Valley. Speaker: Dr Perry Davy, GNS Science
