GNS Science has a variety of resources related to past, present and future occurrence of tsunami around Aotearoa New Zealand and the broader community across the Pacific.
Overview
GNS Science works in partnership with local and global organisations to monitor for tsunami in the Pacific and to model the possible impacts of tsunami on our coastal communities. Monitoring and modeling are key to building resilient communities, increasing public awareness of geological hazards, and designing effective of warning systems and public education programmes.
