Covid-19

Tēnā koe
The Government has decided that Auckland will be at Alert Level 3, while the rest of Aotearoa New Zealand remains at Alert Level 2. I wanted to update you on GNS Science’s operations and how we can continue to support our partners, stakeholders, clients and research collaborators.

At Alert Level 3

  • Our Auckland office is closed, and our people will continue working from home.

At Alert Level 2

  • Our Avalon, Gracefield, Wairakei and Dunedin offices, workshops and labs are open and accepting all deliveries.
  • We have given our people the option to work on site and/or at home at Alert Level 2. If you need to contact GNS staff, please do so using remote means first – for example, via conferencing software or telephone call, before calling into our offices.
  • Visitors are welcome at all our sites (except Auckland).
  • Visitors need to scan the COVID-19 QR tracer code on entry and follow our hygiene and 2 metre physical distancing protocols. Visitors must wear masks and they must be worn if they will be within 2 metres of others during their visit.
  • Our people will be wearing masks and following strict hygiene and distancing protocols while at work.

As the situation continues to change, we will keep you updated on how COVID-19 might affect the delivery of any specific activities or contracts.

We will continue to support our partners, stakeholders, clients and research collaborators through this time, while our people work during a mix of Level 3 and Level 2 restrictions.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you during this time; we will try our best while following the Level 2 and Level 3 requirements.

Noho ora mai

Chief Executive, GNS Science
