Natural affinity: Filicopsida: Polypodiaceae, Davalliaceae. Conran et al. (2010, pp. 87-89, pl. 2, figs 2.2-2.6) illustrated in situ spores of the fossil Davallia walkeri Conran et al., 2010, which they identified with Polypodiisporites radiatus.
NZ age range: Paleogene to Neogene.
