The
Claritas wavelet application lets the user create a wide range of
synthetic wavelets or filters, or read in blocks of seismic data
from which an estimate of the seismic wavelet can be made. Wavelets
or filters output from the application (in ASCII or SEG-Y) can then
be applied in a Claritas processing flow using one of the associated
processing modules.
Each cell in the wavelet display is created using
one of the wavelet operators, which include a wide range of functions
such as :
- Convolution and correlation
- Time- or frequency-domain maths
- Matching filters
- Tapering and windowing
- Wavelet reverse, inverse, shift, scale
- Conversion to minimum or zero phase
- Resample
- Autocorrelation
- Hilbert transform
- Trace align and stack
- Wavelet extraction
- Spike, Ricker & Sine wavelets
- Butterworth & trapezoidal filters
- Hanning, Hamming, Parzen & Bartlett windows
The wavelet cells can contain single- or multi-channel
data, and the programme can be run using pull-down menus or keyboard
commands and a macro processing language. Any interactive session
is stored as a series of macro commands into an ASCII session-file,
allowing the session to be re-entered at a later stage.
