City Map Manukau

Legend

The legend discusses the geology of Manukau City, from the old basement rocks and overlying Miocene sedimentary rocks that form the hill country, to younger, mainly terrestrial sediments and volcanic rocks that dominate the low lying parts of the city. The characteristics of the geological units shown on the map are described in the legend, which provides details of the thickness, form, lithology and weathering characteristics of each mapped unit.
