Annual list of staff publications
This list contains all of the scientific published items written by GNS staff in the last few years (listed by first author). This includes papers in journals and conference proceedings, chapters in books, plus publications that have been produced within GNS. Each section is searchable using the ctrl + f facility inherent in your browser. Scientific articles listed here cannot be purchased from GNS. They may be available from your local library through inter library loan.

Information for authors
As New Zealand's lead provider of geoscience information, GNS publishes its own series as well as publishing papers in scientific journals.

• Monographs are substantial bodies of nationally significant geoscience research, aimed as synthesis works for scientific users.
• 1:250 000 Geological Map Series Maps synthesise regional geology for scientific users.
• Geological Maps provide specific information for scientific users.
• Geophysical Map Series are for scientific users.
• Science Report Series: give technical descriptions of data or methods.
• Poster Series: show science of general interest.
  
• Information Series: booklets describe science of general interest.

All GNS publications are subjected to scientific peer review and quality is maintained by an Editorial Board.
