Student Awards
All first-authors of presentations that register as students, and are student members of the one of the two societies, are eligible for student awards, as long as they are predominantly responsible for content and presentation. Each award will consist of a cash prize.

Student Travel Grants
Travel grants, provided by NZGS and GSNZ, are available to assist students to attend the conference. To be eligible, students must be registered by 11th September, be presenting a poster or oral paper, have been enrolled as a student during 2009, and be a member of NZGS or GSNZ. Successful applicants will be informed by 31st October, and may collect their cheques at the conference registration desk. The amount of the award will depend on the total number of applicants and the distance travelled by the recipient.
