Sample Collection
The collection of groundwater samples for age dating analyses need not be undertaken by GNS Science staff.
We have developed a set of sampling procedures which, if followed, should allow for uncontaminated samples.

Key points to remember when sampling groundwaters:
- Flush bore adequately
- Avoid luminous watches
- Avoid oil contamination
- Avoid pressure tanks
- Minimal contact with air
- Ensure that bottles are closed tightly
