About Us
The GNS Science Stable Isotope Laboratory has been operating continuously since its founder, Dr T A Rafter, built the first southern hemisphere mass spectrometer in the late 1950's.
The Stable Isotope Laboratory participates in a range of international ring-tests such as FIRMS and IAEA calibration tests, and has made and supplied International Standards to the IAEA.
